The GT Equipment Group consisted of the grille-mounted fog lamps, power front disc brakes, dual exhausts with chrome quad outlets (excluded on the 200 hp 289), F70x14 tires, GT gas cap, the handling package, rocker panel stripes, and GT or GTA (for automatic transmission equipped GTs) emblems.
A total of 24,079 Mustangs were equipped with the GT option in 1967.

289 Hi-Performance Engine (271 HP) Restoration The engine compartment was fully restored by Rob’s Automotive in Walnut Grove, GA in 2004. The original 289 2B 8-cylinder engine was removed and updated to the specifications of the original 289 4B high performance (Hi-Po) engine as offered in 1967.
In 1967, less than 500 Mustangs were ordered with the 289 Hi-Po engine.
Interior Restoration Interior restoration was performed with the help of my loving wife (fiancé at the time.) We were determined to ride away from our wedding in our dream car, thus we spent our summer vacation in 2004 working on the interior. The interior underwent a complete color change from the original standard black to light parchment, an original color in 1967.
